Imagine an international crisis... |
|
Let's say...
Venezuela stops exporting oil to the US, or China delivers advanced weaponry to Cuba, or the drug cartels in Mexico overthrow the government, or China attacks Taiwan or Iran attacks Israel or India and Pakistan end their cold war...
Imagine (heaven forbid), that Obama or McCain die and their vice-president takes over.
In any of the aforementioned situations: If you are an Obama/Biden-supporter, would you be confident with president Biden handling such a crisis? If you are an McCain/Palin-supporter, would you be confident with president Palin handling such a crisis?

Why post this? Generally I don't play post/thought police - there are more than enough people at DU who are far more capable than I.
But as to the subject of "Who is AT D.U.?"
Nobody here is a McCain/Palin-supporter. So your question is irrelevant.
Can you delete/edit and just put out there - Imagine that dumb broad in the White House <---- That would be the 'thinking' man and woman's burden for sure. I mean, she can't even pronounce nuclear - which makes me think she wouldn't be able to read the little red button - so she would be completely worthless in a crisis.
Anything else?

I wanted to compare the trust, supporters have in their candidates. Obama supporters are confident, that Biden could take over. And now ask ANY McCain/Palin-supporter, if he would trust Palin to lead the country through such a crisis?
People die.
And that's the reason why a vice-president has to be as presidential and wise as the president himself. Ask a democrat if Biden is qualified and the answer is: Yes. Ask a republican if Palin is qualified and the answer is: Er, well, er, you know, er, she's a reformer, you know.

7. Thank you for clarifying the point |

:pals: I would agree. I know that their 'base' is excited - but when you pop that question into the equation - the Republicans I know?
They are sickened by the thought of her being in charge in a crisis - but they also say they are CERTAIN she'll have help. Why - of course she will. The Rove Cabal will just step in.
