Why Hasn't Palin RESIGNED As Governor of Alaska To Run For VP????
"Just wondering Governor Palin, ... Is It More Important that you have a job to go back to if you lose, or that you give this race for the VP all you have without the diversions you must deal with as an acting Governor?"

1. And of even greater concern, while she's in the lower 48
campaigning with McCain, who is protecting us from the reared head of Putin?

3. Because
it takes no effort or attention to be Governor of Alaska.

8. To be fair
perhaps the same reason that McP, Obama, and Biden have not resigned as senators? Possibly even the same reason that Bush and Bill Clinton didn't resign as governors of their respective(far larger and more complex) states when they ran?

11. The OP topic was a hypothetical question that might be raised(if McCain resigns his Senate Seat)
And if McCain does resign his Senate seat you can bet this question will be asked of Palin.

12. I got bored once playing free safety (cowards wouldn't throw to my side)...
So I threw a late hit on somebody, and coach took me out of the game, saying "Son, why don't you sit the next couple of plays out?"

13. The McCain Rumor that he will resign his Senate Seat as the Oct Surprise is alive...
... so if he does that, the next logical question is why his running mate does not do the same(as a sign of commitment to the campaign).

As for Obama and Biden being asked the same question? I think they could provide a very thoughtful, well-thought out explanation.

We should not be fearful of the questions people ask our candidates, only the reporting of our candidates' answers.

14. I think all candidates should resign
when they declare their bid for another position.

If I took 18 months off from my job to go audition for another one I guarantee you I will not be allowed back.
