Obama responding in kind to the Palin/McCain attacks is good for our side... |
|
It will show that Obama is ready to lead, to stand up to crap and still be able to keep his cool. To unleash the dogs and still stay on task.
People want to believe that a leader will do what is necessary to protect the country. What better way to show this than to protect your own.
That's what killed Dukakis. It wasn't Willie Horton, although he didn't to that threar respond in kind, it was the rape question Bernie Shaw tossed at him in the debate. When Mikey answered like a elbow patched professor instead of an angry husband, it showed a lot of people that he was weak. For better or worse, that is what the people will feel about someone who can't or won't defend themselves.

2. Obama knows just what to do. |
|
It's crazy, but I'm beginning to think he is incapable of making mistakes...
But he is a very strong man, and extremely capable of staying cool under fire.
I recently ran across this quote, and I think it describes Obama very well:
"Beware the anger of a patient man." It's an Irish proverb, and very appropriate here, I think.
