It's obvious why the McCain camp says Rev. Wright is off the table.
...and I don't think its got anything to do with Palin's wacky witch hunting preacher.

What I think it DOES have to do with is that if they push Wright, then they can't frighten people into thinking Obama is a scary Muslim.

It's one or the other and Muslim trumps radical Christian to all the racists out there.

6. Wasn't Lieberman just saying yesterday that McCain said it was off limits though?
Or did he just mean it was off limits for HIM, but everyone else in his campaign could bring it up as much as they wanted?

she didn't know they had pulled out of Michigan either.

8. Besides their own pastor problems, people are more apt to agree with Wright now
But fyi, the Wright thing did almost nothing to correct the "Obama is a muslim" meme. People are stupid, especially when it comes to stereotyping minorities. lol

9. Whatever reason he's keeping him off the table
You can bet good money it has NOTHING to do with him being fair or gracious to be sure. But yeah, I think it would be pretty hard to keep the whole "Obama is a secret Muslim" rumor going if he criticizes Obama about being associated with an inflammatory CHRISTIAN preacher. Of course, anybody that truly believes that Obama is a secret Muslim and would care enough about him being a muslim (which isn't against the law......yet) probably isn't going to vote for him anyway. In his book, "The Audacity of Hope", Obama talks about his faith being primarily Christian but somewhat influenced by a variety of faiths, which isn't particularly surprising given his racial/ethnic background and openness to lots of different idea(l)s.

15. I think its "off the table" because it was all ready done just some months ago.
It hasn't been THAT long. Everyone has all ready heard it all. There is no reason in wasting time and money on something thats all ready been thoroughly vetted less than 6 months ago. That would be like going after the Monica Lewinsky stuff had Hillary became the nominee, its not something that will be effective.

16. Mccain camp hasn't a clue as to how Obama will respond to that attack because of Keating 5 damage
Mccain has to look ahead before they continue throwing the mud.
