Why wait until the 5th?
I think we'll have the results pretty early the night of the 4th.
:)

4. And you just made me tear up. In a good way.
Thank you. Times like these I feel such a kinship with folks here and it's wonderful.

5. If Obama wins, I am going to get down on my hands an knees and thank God.
It would be the first sign of his existence in quite a while.

If McCain wins, there will be no tears, I will just start a one woman riot. Then move 30 minutes north to Montreal.

12. WHEN Obama wins, my stress level will fall by 40%.
IF the "mavericks" win, no one in the world will trust us, ever again.

13. I have been thinking the same thing for w hile
If Obama wins, I will send him something (don't know what yet) to thank him for taking on the unmitigated crap, corruption, disaster of the last 8 years in the most audacious way possible. A heartfelt thanks to the bottom of my heart and with the fiber of my being.

14. I wish these next four weeks were over with.
I can't stand the anticipation! I am about 80% sure we are going to win, but there is always that little voice of doom in my head. I think that little voice was born in November of 2000 and got louder in November of 2004. I hope and pray our fellow countrymen (and women) do not fail us now.

19. Same here!
I am going to be sitting in front of the tv with a bible, prayer beads, incense, crystals, even smoke from the masses... I just want to call on all things great to please let this one go in our favor. Because right now I feel like passing out from nervousness.

17. I started crying at the DNC. First, when Stevie Wonder got choked up, then when
all those regular people came up to talk about Barack (Barney Smith instead of Smith Barney), then when Barack took the stage, then about 50 times during his speech.

So, like you lionesspriyanka, I KNOW I will be crying that day. And, like you, I hope it will be tears of joy. I hope for that more than just about anything I've hoped for in my entire life.

22. Has anyone else booked the day off work?
I know I'll want to stay up as late as possible and absorb all of the coverage, and dance and drink champagne and phone friends from around the continent.

The day after the last presidential election I ended up calling in sick (read:sleep-deprived and depressed), anyway, so I might as well make it legit.

25. I think I am going to take it off but haven't done it yet. I figure either way I'm not
going to want to be at work the next day. I'll either be dancing in the streets or planning to move to New Zealand.

24. Yeah, me too.
Remembering back to Nov 5th 04 when Kerry conceded/bush said he had a "mandate" from the people, omg it was so bad - now to realize that that nightmare is almost over and we are about to see a Democrat back in the White House, not just any Democrat either But Barack and Michelle Obama! It's almost too much to comprehend.

We're witnessing history.
