What are our chances in Alaska (Senate) if Stevens is found not guilty? |
|
Right now we're ahead, but I think that's partially on the assumption that he's guilty.
Anyone know how we'll do if he gets off the hook? If the things drag out beyond the election?

is that he is too big of a fish. He might squirm free, but the net's still pretty big. I'm sure there is more they've got on him (not specifically relating to his current charges). Sure would be sweet if he coughed up some monstrous info on Palin to make a deal, since it is apparent that she's thrown him under the bus.
It is at least gratifying to know that his days in the courtroom ain't over yet.

2. Either way he has dug himself in a big hole. |
|
Not just from the indictments but from his attitude. People in Alaska are fed up with him, unless they are getting fat off of him.

I'd also like to know the answer to your questions.
Most Alaskans are fed up with the corrupt Republican establishment. I think Begich takes this by a point or two.

4. Mark Begich is a very popular politician, and Ted reeks! |
|
Just because he escapes does not mean his son Ben does. If this were a horserace, Begich would be sitting at 2-1. Not good, but not terrible.
