OMG, the piece they put out on McCain is freaking me out. Not only should this guy NOT be president he shouldn't even be in the US Senate AND if Cindy McCain was smart she'd unload his ass now. Why the hell must I help John McCain justify he is as good as his father and grandfather by voting him as President of the United States. McCain is an amazingly horrible person who makes George W. Bush look like a serious, committed person.

I think the article is all there but still - supporting Rolling Stone with their great journalism is worth the $5 for the magazine.

5. Yes but they also hate Rush - it's a love-hate relationship I have with RS
Jann Wenner runs RS and also the Rock & Roll hall of fame. Why Rush is NOT in there is beyond me. Can someone so open-minded about politics be so closed-minded about great prog-rock music?

16. RS definitely never liked the prog rock.
I think they've even called Neil Peart's lyrics "shallow". That alone is enough to turn the stomachs of prog fans, to say nothing of Rush fans, specifically ;)

6. i know the little things aren't as exciting as a full-blown scandal, but...
... the way he used a Navy plane as a personal car, flying every weekend to see Carol, crashing on the way back from an Army-Navy game--it sounds so ENTITLED. No wonder he dumped Carol for Cindy--he thought a rich wife was nothing more than his due.

And then simply leaving the Forrestal after the fire... :wtf: He sounds SO much like Bush, leaving others to clean up after him. And what president does this kind of behavior remind you of: "On a diplomatic trip to Saudi Arabia with Tower, he tried to get some tourists he disliked in trouble with the authorities by littering the room-service trays outside their door with empty bottles of alcohol."

I wonder if this new bit of information will get any play: "In fact, his wounds were attended to only after the North Vietnamese discovered that his father was a Navy admiral. What has never been disclosed is the manner in which they found out: McCain told them." It's not terribly embarrassing--if I had as many broken bones as he did, I'd drop a name or two to try to get some help--but it's interesting that this has never been revealed before.

What is it about Republicans that they will tolerate all these flaws in their nominees? Seriously, what is it? They talk about personal responsibility and family values, and then they nominate people who have nothing to do with these qualities, and they obediently trot to the polls and vote for them.

8. I started another thread but seriously - no more kids with father complexes please!
You know I use to think McCain was a decent person sometime circa 2000-2003 but the truth is coming out about him and this guy is nothing more than scum. And from what I've read, his POW years were not so 'brave & heroic' as one would lead you to believe. Don't get me wrong - no one deserves to be in a POW prisoner camp ANYWHERE in this world, but I've read about the POW code of honor and it seems that this meant nothing to McCain.

20. I've wondered about the Army-Navy Game crash...
Was McCain flying up there to see the game (not much point in that--Navy almost always wins anyway) or to do a flyover?

12. Great Article - The Print Version Also Has...
A nice article on Cable News, as well as a nice graph that summarizes the differences between Obama and McCain's tax plan. Basically, if you make a million or more dollars, you get more from McCain. If you are middle class, then you get more under Obama.

McSame almost makes that look like a noble effort to save us taxpayers money.
