Polls: Here's something to consider between national and state results |
|
Folks. Keep in mid a few things when reviewing polls. The national polls are like predicting the weather with a barometer. On a barometer you can see pressure dropping and can assume a weather front is coming through the area. You don't know the strength per se or when or how long the weather will last.
Predicting an election outcome with a national poll is not the way to look at it. The state polls are what mean something because of our electoral college. If Palin is rallying a deep conservative bible thumping base in Wyoming and Texas it doesn't matter to the overall election. However that could be reflected in a national poll.
What matters are battleground state polls. (Thus Grandpappy reallocating funds from Michigan to Ohio, PA and FL.)
