NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The economy is expected to one of the topics discussed at Tuesday's presidential debate at Belmont University

5. And he'll look like a damn fool.
Brokaw: "Senator Obama, care to comment on your association with Weather Underground Terroris Ayres?"

Obama: "Well I was 8 years old, he gave me a lollipop and then left the room."

Tee-Vee viewing public: "Brokaw, you're a loser"

Question 3 to Obama - Wright
Question 4 to McNut - POW
Question 5 to Obama - Rezko
Question 6 to McNut - POW

etc etc. It'll be a repeat of the horrible ABC Dem primary debate.

8. it certainly won't be any of the "undecided voters" in the audience
unless McCain managed to sneak some plants there.

10. In response, I'd like to see Obama
mention the Republicans who worked with Ayers.

Link below contains a link about just such a topic.

11. I'm wondering if they were run a reverse on us and have Brokaw bring
up the Keating 5 issue, let McCain publicy "deny" it since Obama is not allowed to question McLiar, and then not bring up Ayres, thus not giving Obama the chance to explain his side of the story and a chance at clearing his name on a public/national stage.

Wouldn't put it past them. The media will spin it as Brokaw being "even" because he discussed the K5, and Obama getting a free ride because Ayres wasn't discussed.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. I hope Obama is asked about all of the issues people keep lying about; Ayres, Rev. Wright, his faith, etc. He will be able to directly answer and respond to the audience with his words rather than the BS media filters. It would be a good thing for Obama to have the final word on the national stage in regards to these issues, especially while McLiar is sitting there unable to spew his lies in retort.

12. I think he should. Bring it up, let Obama deflate it with ease
and watch McCain have to tuck half of his cue cards in his back pocket, unused and no longer needed.

13. I agree - Brokaw is looking for a "gotcha" opportunity
Luckily, the rule are pretty strict and Brokaw is somewhat constrained on what kind of mark he can leave on the debate. But he has been openly Pro-McCain during the election and has been known to throw common sense, rules, and protocol aside when he feels there is an opportunity to throw in pro-McCain and anti-Obama stats and quotes into the equation. He's done it several times by citing old polls, false results, and recite rumor and innuendo. I don't think he will pass this opportunity up seeing as McCain continues his free fall and more people will be watching the debate.
