Thank You Senator Obama

Senator Obama,

Before the campaign goes into hyper-drive, I just want to take a minute to thank you for all that you have done. You have given all Americans hope that we can move beyond the politics of the past. You have given dreams and visions back to the youth of this great country. And you have made history in your run for President.

You are bringing about change simply through your campaign. Millions of Americans have become personally involved, not only in your campaign, but involved in solving the critical problems we face together as a nation.

During the 2004 Kerry Campaign, I wrote an Op Ed article called the Divided States of America. It was about how politics was being used to divide Americans so a few individuals could retain a power they had no right to. This was the politics of division that you have talked about. It is the politics of division that you have sought to end with your campaign.

And I believe you have succeeded. You have brought Americans together and are continuing to bring us together. It is absolutely necessary for us as a nation in order to meet the challenges we face. Americans realize this and you believed they would. It's time for us all to believe in you.

Senator Obama, I thank you. I believe in you and what you are trying to do. I will do what I can to see this through Election day and I won't give up afterward. Our work is just beginning. But thanks to you, it is finally beginning.
