Aside from the margin Obama is ahead in the polls, McCain is barely pulling the republican base |
|
Throughout the Bush term the republican base of support for him was assumed to be at about 43%. It's moved way down past that for Bush, but the numbers McCain is pulling right now show that he's stuck with little more than the base of his own party for support. No matter if Obama is pulling 48% or 52%, McCain is stuck trying to hold onto the most rabid pack of republicans left to him. That would explain why they're dredging the bottom of their swamp to appeal to them.

1. Might as well change the name to the Free Republican party. |

Freepers are the only ones they'll appeal to.

They hated him from the go. They're truly lesser-of-true-eviled.
We on the other hand have everything better to hope for.
