Modern day Judas Iscariot story
Like Judas of old, Zell Miller finds himself in much the same situation.

After betraying Jesus into the hands of his enemies, Judas is shocked to find out that after he has been used to accomplish this purpose, his new friends don't want to be friends anymore. As a matter of fact, they were probably never his friends in the first place.

At this point Judas also realizes that he's forever burned bridges with his real friends by stabbing them in the back. Judas now has no friends.

In 2004, after betraying his Party to gain esteem in the eyes of its political enemies and giving the Keynote address at the GOP convention, Senator Miller is shocked to find out that his new friends don't want to be friends anymore now that Zell has served his purpose.

At this point Zell realizes that he's forever burned bridges with his real friends through his betrayal. Zell now has no friends.

1. Maybe he could duel himself
In this corner the Zell Miller of 1992, and over here the Zell Miller of 2004 in a battle royale!

3. Poor Zell
But I still have to revel in the fact that using him backfired on the GOP/RNC.

"I'm glad he is on our side" - Dick Cheney before starting his own speech that night.

and

"He will give them the message that it's perfectly acceptable and respectable to vote for Bush," said Charles Black, a Republican strategist with close ties to the White House.

6. "I'm glad he is on our side" - Dick Cheney<<
Our side?? And which side would that be "Dick"?

Would that be the side that has our seiors splitting their pills in half?? Refusing to let them purchase medicine OOC???

Or would it be the side that cut veterans benefits...

Or the side that started an illegal, immoral war with the guy whom you used to support and do business with...

Or the side that hates HALF of the country... (Dems)

Or the side that claims to be the uniters (Pulleeeeeeze)

Or the side that rigged the 2000 elections....

Or the side that the Pope disagreed with on the Iraq issues...

Or the side that sent young men into combat to DIE without kevlar vests or armored vehicles...

Or the side that is raping the taxpayer by giving no bid contracts to companies one of which you still get a check from and have stock in....

Or the side that doesn't see countries... only dollar signs and corporate logos....

Or the side that is going to lose this election very very badly...

I just want to know whose side "Dick" is on anyway....

If you consider 50% of the country to be the "other side"... then your are 100% wrong for half of the United States of America.... "Dick".

BTW.... Love your voting records on defense contracts from the late 80's and early 90's. Just fabulous.
