I already started a thread on this in the Washington forum, but I just can't believe. Republican candidate Dino Rossi just ran an ad featuring a "mother" talking about how under Christine Gregoire's watch 1300 sex offenders went missing, and how she can't be trusted.

As a former Resident of Washington, I thought this guy was a worthless piece of shit beforehand. He tried to get the GOP to sue the state in 2004 trying to get himself elected over Gregoire, who rightfully won. I hope my friends in Seattle are smarter than to vote for that asshole.

that I think is very important for all from Ca. and Wa. to read. I live in Ca. (a real native!) but my husband and I have decided to move to Wa. next year. Read the diary and see if you agree with it.

We are moving to get AWAY from freeways, among other things. I hope Rossi doesn't win. Please, tell me what you think.

As far as getting away from freeways.. I'm not sure which part of Washington you're thinking about, but the traffic here is pretty horrific on the freeways. Depends upon where you're living.. but freeways? Oh.. we've got 'em!

But it's gotten more and more congested over the years as people migrate south of Seattle. It's better south of Olympia. At least for now. Can't speak to the areas surrounding Seattle. lol

16. We are moving to the Peninsula

between Port Angeles and Sequim. Lots of development going on there in the Happy Valley area. Developers are buying up a lot of the farms. The house we are buying is on 5 acres so at least we can count on that 'open space'.

Per the Dailykos diary, why do you think the current Governor is not running a good campaign? Do you think the building 'scandal' has legs?

Gregoire is far, far from perfect, but Dino Rossi is pure scum. I especially hate the ad with the "former" CASA volunteer. It's so deceptive and I bet she was paid.

I live in Washington, and there is one of those HUGE electronic signs that the tribes are allowed to use on the I-5. One says "Voting for Obama? Time for REAL change in Olympia! Vote for Rossi!" and he has several other ads where he blames "Them" on the economic mess -- "them" being the republicans!! He is trying to look like a liberal. He's that same POS that ran an ad right after Obama's acceptance speech, congratulating him.

He's a pig and he's bankrolled by the Building industry in Washington, which has destroyed the area with rampant building, and hurt consumers by using millions to ensure that consumers can NEVER sue a home builder for shoddy work. He's a slimeball. Though Washington will face economic pain because of the national financial meltdown, we were one of a HANDFUL of States that was not running in the red. Gregoire wisely keeps a Rainy Day Fund, and the state is very well run.

As others on this thread have said, Rossi is pond scum, a liar, and a fucking asshole!

If he manages to win this time, I may need to move back to Oregon. I don't think I could bear living here with him as governor.
