i have a friend who could not answer this question without qualifying it

we have known each other for a while.
i am myself a fiscal conservative by nature and he has always claimed that title also.
and for the record you CAN be a conservative and a democrat and you do not have to join in any of the baby eating or other stuff most conservatives seem to enjoy.
he is very anti obama and i have been an obama supporter since early this election cycle when a careful study of the differing agendas pointed me to the one i felt most in line with my own beliefs.
he sings the praise of mccain/palin even though at any other time he would be the first to admit that mccain is no conservative.
so i asked him this question
if an elected official sworn to uphold and defend the constitution was a member of a seccessionist party would they be a patriot...or a traitor?

he of course said traitor...until i informed him of the AIP and sarah moosefuckers involvement in it.
he sputtered and made excuses and i told him
steve...you aint a conservative...you are just a republican!

i dont think he is allowed to play with me anymore.
