Am I right? From the election map, it looks like McCain will have to steal...I mean, win every last swing state in order to win.

1. all the swing states are at least light blue now.
Well there is Missouri--don't know if you'd call it a swing state. That and Indiana are toss-ups. Indiana--the reddest red state last time!

11. Yes
I hope he wins both, but I think he has more of a chance in FL than OH. Either way, he'll win. I also hope he can snag WV or TX, but it won't happen.

15. His paths to victory are narrowing
He's pretty much lost any realistic chance of taking any Kerry OR Gore states.

If he were smart he'd stop wasting time in IA and spend more in OH, FL, VA, NC, MO, IN, CO....Man that's a lotta states to defend.

17. At this point he is not even defending them
It would be different if McCain held narrow leads in those states and Obama had to try and pick one off. As of right now, Obama actually leads in most of the battleground states. Obama has now basically locked up 264 electoral votes and McCain needs to win every single battleground. McCain can not just play defense, he must go on the offensive in all these battleground simultaneously so he can run the table and squeak out a victory. With the trendlines going the other way, one more national event left (the debate), less money, less organization, and time running out McCain is at a significant disadvantage.
