NEW MEME for US! McKlan is publicly lynching Obama
what do you think? I'd love to get this idea out there. All white rallies where the grand wizardess herself in her hateful brand of modern evangelical pentacostalism slashes at the flesh of Obama.

1. Plays into McCain's hands. He wants the media talking about race instead of the economy

He wants the Low Information white voters to go into the voting booth with ANYTHING on their minds EXCEPT the economy.

It really IS the ECONOMY, STUPID.

2. Don't like it. Lynching is not a very hopeful subject.

And it invokes images of complete defenselessness at the hands of evil. Obama is not defenseless.

Edit: On the other hand, and it may be what you're trying to get at - exposing these people at these rallies as evil, racist, pitchfork carrying thugs is fine. Keep that type of focus on them. It's about who they are, not who Obama is.

4. I don't mean Obama and his campaign. I meant the blogosphere and
other outlets where people can start to get the idea that this whole line of attack from McKlan is really regressive and hateful.

I agree about the economy. But OBAMA will keep doing that. He'll keep hitting again and again and again on how we need a change in these failed POLICIES of Bush/McCain.

While Obama is comfortably ahead, there's no need to change the tone or message in his campaign. But if the steady drip of Ayers ads and attacks start to erode some critical support, Obama better be ready with SOMETHING that is strong.
