One of the unlovely aspects of politics is that people get away with murder but get taken down for trivia.

Despite all the reprehensible mutant deviance Palin is guilty of, I think this is the thing that would actually hurt her the most with suburban women if it got some play:

In one of the odder parts of the deposition, he seems to have implied that two reasons Monegan was actually fired were for emailing the governor reports that she'd driven with her newborn son without a car seat and that he didn't have a state plane available enough for her trips.

She was a passenger on some shuttle bus that was taking a ride around a farm. Buses like that often don't even have seat belts that you could use to attach a car seat.
