I heard a Crosi interview this morning on local radio

Expect this to be one of the things the McCain surrogates will be talking about again until the election as it supports their painting Obama as dangerous.

This morning, Corsi gave an interview with Peter Boyles on local radio here, KHOW-AM. It was his first interview since he got out of Kenya. He was in London.

He said that he was looking for evidence that Obama was born in Kenya since the document Obama has released is not an actual birth certificate. He also went looking for Obama's brother George - who he asserted was a drug dealer living in a very poor area outside Nairobi. He couldn't locate the brother but said that Barack "hasn't done a thing for his brother". Lastly, he said that Obama supported Odinga therefore he has ties to Islam. and he talked about the violence.

So, he'll be rearing his ugly head, most likely on Fox, no doubt, as soon as he gets back in the U.S.

Btw, he sounded like he had been scared shitless by the Kenyan gov't when he was detained for several hours over his own papers right before he was deported.

It sounds like he wasn't able to find Obama's brother or any new documentary evidence, although I wouldn't put it past him to forge or cook something up.

But it was very early in the morning and I wasn't quite awake yet. It wasn't verification of Obama's birth. But he did mention some sort of agreement between Obama and Odinga. I'm not holding my breath. But I'm sure he'll be making another round of right wing talk radio and FoxNews.

And yes I know, it was a territory at the time of the US but it's now part of Panama. Isn't the constitution explicit that they be US born?

During the conversation this morning Corsi talked about suspicion that Obama was born in Kenya because his mother may not have been able to get home in time to give birth. Since his father was a Kenyan citizen at the time, Obama would then be ineligible to run for president.

So I think that his main goal was to "uncover" some proof that Obama was born in Kenya. I wonder how much money Corsi took with him to help "find" such "proof".

Congress passed a NONbinding resolution that he was.

Two lawsuits this year have argued that he wasn't - Hollander v. McCain (D.NH.) and Robinson v. Sec'y of State, et al (ND Cal). Both cases were dismissed for lack of standing.

The Michigan Law Review recently published a "symposium" of articles on the subject (with conflicting views - indicating that the issue, while "settled" for the public, generally, is not "settled" as a matter of law.)

Corsi now says that Obama gave advice to Raila Odinga, an Anglican of all things, who was running for PM of Kenya.

What any of that has to do with anything, is the greater mystery here.

16. I believe someone has to be a "natural born citizen"

Growing up, I have always been told by teachers and others that I could never be President of the U.S. I was born on a U.S. Air Force Base in Germany while my father was stationed abroad. I don't think there's a clear cut definition of what a "natural born citizen" is, but a narrow interpretation of the phrase might rule me out and McCain for that matter. I don't think the U.S. Supreme Court has ever interpreted the meaning of "natural born citizen" in this context and I think the U.S. State Department doesn't recognize birth abroad in a U.S. military installation to be a type of citizenship protected by the 14th amendment. There are more than two types of U.S. citizenship, some of which are not protected by the 14th amendment.

The laws WERE modified to grant "natural born" citizenship to children born overseas to US citizens, particularly to citizens in service of the country -- provided the proper procedures are followed.

Yes, the conservative blogs, and especially obamacrimes.com, is buzzing about Corsi's latest/coming allegations.

SECOND - I've been watching this "birth certificate" story since it first broke earlier this year - particularly the Berg v. Obama complaint filed in Philadelphia. That complaint essentially compiles all the internet rumors surrounding Obama's birth (and move to Indonesia) and asserts that Obama is not a citizen, much less a natural born citizen, qualifed to be President.

The Berg lawsuit story hasn't "leaked" into the MSM much yet (although it did make it into the Washington Times, in a rather dismissive fashion.) However, given the trend, it's quite possible that it will leak over.

Finally, a minor correction - Corsi gave Hannity (on radio) the first interview last night. Reportedly, he asserts he has written proof of Obama workign with Odinga - that he'll produce on Monday. (I won't repeat all of his allegations. It's already been posted on YouTube.
