2. It's the latest GOP meme - it's their version of a RickRoll |
|
Look for these buzzwords to show you who in the media is taking the marching orders from the GOP.

17. its a common expression that goes back to play offs when you steal a game from the |
|
home team. In baseball when the visiting team wins one on the road it is frequently referred to as "stealing one" from the home team - it means that you have overcome a homefield advantage and taken one that was not expected.
By trivializing the charge and using it when it has absolutely no connection and represents a situation where it is commonly used and understood it undermines our credability when we make the charge under more serious situations.
Push it now and people will think we are nuts and not listen to us when we have something substantive to say, like the boy who cried wolf.

9. The choice of words is, in my opinion, not a mistake. |
|
Why not "turning blue" or "flipping Democratic" or "rejecting Republicans"??
But "steal" fits the meme of Acorn and election fraud that they want to frame this discussion in.
It is not a mistake. That word was used deliberately IMO.

have changed the demographic, and they're all going to vote for Obama.
At least, that's what they're saying on FR.

18. It is not a mistake it is a very common sports saying when a visiting team takes |
|
an unexpected win on the road. Get hysterical now over nothing and people are not going to listen to you the next time.

6. Well, my cynical side says the answer is obvious |
|
Whore media trying to stir up the same lowest common denominator that McCrazy and Moosealini have been doing this week. Associate the word "steal" with a black man, especially in Southern states (no offense to you or other Southern Democrats intended)

Sure, these "subconscious, unintentional" slurs can't always be caught in advance, but I wish CNN would try harder.
