Biden on McCain Attacks: Say it to his Face

http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2008/10/09/1522310.aspx">The Delaware Senator chides McCain for recent attacks on Obama’s associations during a Thursday event in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Says he can make personal attacks on TV and at rallies but “McCain could not bring himself to look Barack Obama in the eye and say the same things to him” at the debate.

“In my neighborhood, when you’ve got something to say to a guy, you look him in the eye and you say it to him.”

1. Go, Joe!
I think they're egging McNuts on. I think Obama has a real zinger response waiting, or maybe they just want to get him to look like an angry stammering fool, or to make him look like a coward.

9. You know they have something in the wings. It's why McCain won't take the bait
If McCain actually goes there in front of Obama he's going to get hit with a litany of "one ups" that can be attached to him.

However, if he doesn't say it to Obama's face it makes him look weak esp. since his whole campaign has been about the big, bad, kick ass/take names war hero.

10. Next debate: Any moderator/journalist worthy of the name journalist...
Next debate: Any moderator/journalist worthy of the name journalist will make the first question some variation on, "For both of you, here's your chance to say it to his face."

2. Yeah Joe! Repeatedly calling McCain a coward is going to
make him explode. Obama, Biden, Vilsack and other surrogates should keep it up. I would love to see a meltdown during the next debate.

5. McCain has lost this thing
McCain never had a chance. I always thought that the campaign team that figured out how to bring Obama the nomination will have no problem taking down McCain.

8. Thanks, Joe! He talked about it on the morning shows too - how McCain won't use your name
or look at you at times like that - the value of a VP who knows McCain.
