2. The rich have stashed their money until after the crash. Then they
will buy up things for ten cents on a dollar.

12. I grew up during the last "great depression". I clearly remembering
my father explaining how the rich people went around town buying residential property for almost nothing.

18. Such a "hit" is indeed hard to take. I hope that you and your
family are young enough to be able to enjoy an upturn in the not too distant future and that your job is secure.

3. Malarkey
The rich remain rich, the little guys are left holding the bag, diminished 401ks.

5. No, I'm surew the upper ranks of the rich are doing just fine, as always.
It's those ocial-climbing, nouveau-riche little yuppies with a Beamer & a few million that are tonna take the hit. Teach them their place and all that, ya know. RICH means something over 100 mil. REALLY RICH begins at 1 bil.

6. No, the "smart" money got out some time ago
and was short selling until they stopped it.

What is going on now is the further re-definition of the "upper class" to get rid of the poseurs and wanna bees... if you were a paper near millionaire because of your 401K and house equity, well, you are just a working bum again, grateful for a job. Because the REAL owners and rich bastards just yanked your dream away. That's they way they want it.

9. Rubbish
The rich continue to live it up. You don't think some people are cashing in as the market crashes?

Things just get worse for the middle class and the poor.

16. If you think that ACTUAL rich people (like the superrich)
people pulling the strings behind the curtain lost ANY money during this latest financial crisis I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you. I bet they're all laughing on their way to the bank (well, the ones that still exist anyway) to cash the $700 billion check given to them by the American Taxpayers....

Remember how much money families like the Rockefellers, and Carnegie, and J.P. Morgan, and Vanderbilt, and dare I say, Prescott Bush lost during the first great depression? Those families were totally wiped out and have lived in poverty ever since.... ooh wait a minute...
