So do we think that Joe is REALLY mad at McCain? |
|
Edited on Thu Oct-09-08 07:50 PM by Clio the Leo
Joe just once again (at a rally tonight in Jefferson City, MO) shouted at McCain to "SAY IT TO ME!!! SAY IT TO MY FACE!!! LOOK ME IN THE EYE!!! THAT'S THE CODE!!!"
Joe understands the theater of politics as much as anyone ..... but I think he may just really be peeved at his "friend" John McCain ....... I dont remember hearing him saying "I love him but..." in the last two days. Anyone?
So is this stagecraft ...... or legitimate anger? Thoughts?

.... he also made mention that "you got these folks walking around saying 'my friend this and my friend that'" but I want to talk about the man who introduced me, I knew from the moment I met him he'd be a friend..."
A very subtle dig at McCain.

and rightfully so in McCain's tactics. The integrity has gone out the window.

despicable levels, and his respect for McCain has GOT to be shaken. You can only excuse so much under the 'it's just politics' umbrella.
I don't remember him lauding McCain, either. Maybe he's had it. And it must be hard to feel that way about someone you respected and trusted. Like finding out your 'perfect' partner wasn't the person you thought s/he was.

13. Biden tells of how he met McCain when he first became a Senator (Biden, not |
|
McCain.) He was his Navy Liaison (or something like that) who traveled with Biden as he went around the world meeting different leaders. So their friendship was begun over thirty years ago.
It kind of reminds me of a friend of mine - my best friend in high school and we were really close. And we'd be close whenever we'd get together afterward, even if we hadn't seen each other for some time. Then one day she said something like God was punishing gays with AIDS. I thought 'who IS this person who I thought I knew so well?' I realized that our friendship had come to an end because we so fundamentally differed. I wonder if Biden is feeling the same way about McCain these days...

10. Joe set it all up perfectly by going on and on about his friend John McKlan... |
|
Now he can be righteously indignant in his disgust for this old friend being a total lying sack of crap with no moral code. Losing a friend over lies is really horrible.

12. Joe is doing so well for the ticket right now. |

He's so passionate and delivers these stump speeches like a heavyweight champ.
Even the "Ladies and Gentlemen" verbal filler is perfect.
I love Joe!
