Forget the Poll: Remember the Lies |
There's no substance whatever to Bush's "agenda" as he represented it to the convention last night. It was, as Ralph Nader and so many others have pointed out very clearly, a gaseous effusion. Its effect (if there really was one that the Time poll reflected at all accurately) will be as ephemeral as a fart. Yes, it stinks now, but keep the window open. Remember the lies, and remember, too, that this is America we're talking about. This is the land of forgetting. Every news cycle is a tabula rasa.

1. Remember the 12 pt Time lead Kerry in March. Then 5 Pt Bush lead |
One month later. Polls mean nothing after a big political event.

2. That's useful information, about the Time poll in particular. |
If there's that much variance in such little time and they use the same methodology, why should anyone take this one seriously?
