Post your suggestions for the Obama White House staff. |
|
I know it's early. But I like speculating on this stuff. :-)
Who do you think should be White House Chief of Staff in the Obama White House? Press Secretary? National Security Advisor?

You want to destroy his administration before it even starts, do what you suggest.
Nader is a fucking asshole. I wouldn't trust him to watch over my fucking cat for fifteen minutes.

She'd probably be a damn good press secretary, but right now we need her voice on TV even more.

|
Edited on Fri Oct-10-08 09:14 AM by Juche
I'm sure alot of other people are qualified but Krugman seems to know what needs to be done to fix it (he wants to pump hundreds of billions of liquid capital)

12. Department of Education: a general request... |
|
please appoint someone who actually has an Ed.D. or a Ph.D. in Education! Margaret Spellings: Margaret Spellings earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Houston in 1979 and worked in an education reform commission under Texas Governor William P. Clements and as associate executive director for the Texas Association of School Boards. Before her appointment to George W. Bush's presidential administration, Spellings was the political director for Bush's first gubernatorial campaign in 1994, and later became a senior advisor to Bush during his term as Governor of Texas from 1995 to 2000.
...
Following Rod Paige's departure as Secretary of Education, despite the fact that she had never been a teacher or school administrator, Spellings was nominated to the post of the Secretary of Education by George W. Bush on November 17, 2004,<2> confirmed by the U.S. Senate on January 20, 2005, which also marked the beginning of Bush's second presidential term,<3> and sworn in on January 31 the same year.<4>
...
On January 26, 2005, between being confirmed and sworn in as the eighth Education Secretary, Spellings sent a letter to the head of PBS condemning an episode of the show Postcards From Buster that featured "Buster the Bunny" visiting Vermont and interacting with the children of a lesbian couple. The mostly live-action show focuses on real children and in this episode the two women are never mentioned as being lesbians. Spellings criticized the use of government funds to produce the episode saying "many parents would not want their young children exposed to the life-styles portrayed in this episode."<5><\i>

Her dismissive and cruel statement regarding the sanctions on Iraq that was responsible for killing thousands of innocent people, "we think the price is worth it" will never be forgiven.

We have work to do. Keep your head down and keep your fantasies in check. We'll have plenty of time to discuss this stuff in December.

21. Chief of Staff: Pete Rouse |
|
Pete's been Obama's Chief of Staff so far and is credited with keeping him from making a number of false moves. Axelrod is too much of a rock star for the position. When Rolling Stone wanted to do an article on Pete he told them he was too busy; not what I'd want for a 'front man', but that's the right attitude for the 'back of the house'.
