Kathleen Parker to McCain: Where is Palin coming from? She makes Obama look like Senior Statesman
Parker just blasted McCain in MSNBC for bringing Palin into the national scene. She said that McCain gave away his honor in making this move and she expects the negativity to continue. It looks like Kathleen Parker despises Sarah... :wow:

She writes for the National Review
And is syndicated in some mainstream newspapers. Usually a reliable conservative but the Palin pick sent her over the edge. She actually said Palin should step aside for the good of the country.

12. No. We're seeing the "not crazy cultural warriors" trying to position themselves post-election
And they will certainly have the upper hand, once this insanity has calmed down (which may take a while, post election)

She said "McCain is saying who is Barack Obama? Well, we could say who is Sarah Palin!" and said that she is afraid of the atmosphere that is being created. Andrea said "What do you think it could lead to" and Kathleen said "I don't even want to say...you know, what we're all afraid of. That some nut could do something and think it was the 'patriotic thing' to do". Andrea also asked about Bill Ayers, and Parker said that it probably showed poor judgement, but it's not like they were palling around or friends...they were on a board together. The head of NorthWestern, who worked in the Nixon administration, is also on the board."
edit: she still thinks Sarah Palin is unqualified..says that she did well enough at the debate so the base could support her "without being on their meds", but that it would be a different matter when she sits down for a real media interview.

8. Kathleen Parker is not a stupid woman. She was in Larry King last night
with Michelle Laxalt and they slammed Sarah Palin and her politics of personal destruction (even after lunatic Bay Buchanan said that Palin was the best possible choice for VP in the party)

14. I usually despise Kathleen Parker's columns but even she's revolted by Palin.
If both Kathleen Parker and I loathe Palin, who likes her?
