Okay. Kerry Wins In November. THEN WHAT?
Edited on Fri Sep-03-04 05:59 PM by The Nation
If by some chance Kerry wins the election in November, THEN WHAT?

With Bush no longer in office it's not going to be good enough to simply be 'ANYONE BUT BUSH'

Will we run into a problem when, once bush has been pushed out of office, america is left with a president that isn't really very 'likeable', that must be looked at based solely on his own actions and image as commander-in-chief.

Basically, once bush is gone, and they no longer have someone to hate, will americans get bored with Kerry?

Americans don't seem to like bush, but once he's gone, will they warm up to kerry?

10. I think the country will be so much better off with him as President.
I think the republicans in Congress will breathe a sigh of relief. I get the impression that many of them would rather have Bush go away. Not the likes of Trent Lott and Tom Delay...but people like Chuck Hagel, Pat Roberts, Olympia Snow and ? Collins and even Specter.

11. We need to control the message. If the GOP was able to
change Bush's image into that of a commander-in-chief, we can do anything. Bush has been a coward his whole life. Hell, the man can barely complete an unscripted sentence, and Karl Rove has convinced everyone it's folksy and charming.

I think that the Democrats have finally wised up and will play hardball in the future. Air America should continue to grow. I only hope we can find an answer to Fox News.

12. We will at least restore honesty and justice to 2 branches of government
the executive and the judiciary.

WE CANNOT AFFORD TO LET BUSH APPOINT 2 OR 3 NEW JUSTICES TO THE SUPREME COURT!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for the caps but I am yelling at the screen. I don't care if Kerry is likeable. I don't care to have a barbecue or a beer with the President. I want someone who can do the job and do it in the clear light of day, unlike the secretive Bush Administration. I don't care if Kerry even gets voted out for unpopularity after 4 years if that means at least restoring some decency to government during the next presidential term. I do not, repeat do not, want to see any more ultra right wing Justices appointed to the Supreme Court. A second Bush term will be a monumental disaster just for that situation alone, as it will affect the state of U.S. law for years and years to come. I won't even touch on the fact that our economy will be in shambles and we will get further bogged down in pointless oil wars in the middle east if Bush is elected.

13. Then we roll up our sleeves and start cleaning up the mess
Same as in 1993. And after another eight years of peace and prosperity, when the country is again strong, poverty numbers are going down, even the stock market is soaring, some fake-ass snake oil salesman out of the party of personal bankruptcy will snooker voters again that now that everything's going so well, it's time to put another Republican in the Oval Office, and another huge mess gets made.

15. Then the trials begin.
Lewis Libby...exposing CIA operatives...Treason.
Dick Cheney...planning around 9-11 attacks...High Treason.
George W. Bush...describing Iraq attack plans to Bandar...Espionage.

It's gonna be sweet revenge, and well deserved.
