You know I'm thinking, that WHEN Obama gets elected, we need to be vigilant
We need to keep on our elected officials to work toward single payer, universal health care. And the promise of funding renewable, green energy. And we need to make sure that special interest lobbyists don't simply 'become' Democrats.

I think especially we need to not get complacent about election fraud, and demand strict oversight of voting machine software.

1. Yes
The rethugs will assume we'll forget about all that and redouble their efforts.

2. And we all need to get involved in local politics
That is what the Repugs have been doing for the last 30 years. Taking over local races, putting in place policies that prevent transparency, that encourage cronyism.

We need to stop relying on machine politics and keep progressives to the fore. And we need to get rid of politics as a 'career'.

5. Exactly. Howard Dean is a genius.
As are Obama and his campaign advisers.

It's really a happy thing to be able to look forward to the election with a fair dose of confidence. It's been a long, demoralizing 8 years.

3. FIRST,
we need to be vigilant (too soft a word!) to insist that the robbers admit their malfeasances and SHOW THE WORLD WHERE AND HOW THEY STOLE HIS/OUR VOTES!

10. The problem with the 'pro-lifers' is they seem to hate sex education too.
I think their real motive has more to do with wanting to control women

9. And the lessons learned from Palin
Take no local or state election or candidate for granted. Stop Republicans begining at the lowest levels. Let them grow no crop of future Palins.
And I intend to take special interest in donating to Palin's rivals in Alaska, the Alaska Democratic Party, and every liberal activity or social orgainzation in Wasilla. Fund her hometown in any way she'd hate. For the rest of time.
