Honestly, I'm beginning to believe that the Universe, or the fates or whatever
really want Obama to be elected president- or they really don't want McFailin'. It tickles me to no end.

This really was Black Friday... for McFailin'.

2. I breathe easier when the election is over and Obama is President-elect.
I concur with you, however.

4. my father said.........
Edited on Fri Oct-10-08 09:19 PM by Clio the Leo
(and my father's old and knows stuff)

He's a preacher ..... he's been sneaking into his sermons for months now "I believe God raises men to power in times of crisis....." and then he'd start talking about Abe Lincoln or someone so he couldn't be accused later of talking politics from the pulpit. Well, I called him on it one time, said that *I* knew what he was trying to imply with those statements, and he laughed, "you noticed that huh?" then he got real serious, "think about all the things that had to happen for Obama to get where he is?" Now, mind you, my father is a realist .... he's not one who normally thinks God sends hurricanes to punish people etc. He's also not drinking the Kool Aid. He's not fond of Joe Biden and twice during the last debate he shouted to the TV, "ANSWER THE QUESTION OBAMA!!!" So for him to say this, that means something.

We had this conversation in June.

I'm starting to think he's on to something.

It could all be coincidence ..... who knows ........ or maybe not ........ who knows.

All I know is, among other things, I pray every night that Barack doesn't screw it up the next day. And he never does.

Who knows.
