1. I don't agree that most of the true DU'ers have gone |
|
defeatest. I believe that what you are seeing is a shitload of posts from trolls.
I just did a search of several doomsayers, and their history is very clear. Most of us feel Kerry has this in hand.

The ones who believed Drudge, believed SBVT's, and believe this poll. They ALWAYS believe the RNC.

3. I feel a heavy troll energy also... |
|
also, the poll numbers are likely voters, done by percentages of different groups...it's not UNLIKELY voters, which, well, will show up. Florida had a 35% increase in their recent primary.

I will never give up Kerry never gave up last November when Dean was ahead and look at him now
In October of 1942, Vice Admiral Ghormely was replaced by Vice Admiral Halsey in the South Pacific, Ghormely was nothing but defeatism. Halsey came in an kicked some A$$, and we prevailed
That is what we need now, to kick some republican a$$

9. Ahh, let's cut them a break... We'll all probably have a bit of |
|
"up one day and down the next..." I think part of the value of this board is to pick each other up when the frustrations mount-- strength in numbers you know (also valuable perspective).

How do you feel that you are slamming some of your own best defenders by becoming surly and defensive when we don't "fall into line"?????? How do you feel about alienation????????

13. This is a message board folks |
|
People ought to be able to express what they're feeling, whether it's up or down.
Instead of acting like the snooty cheerleaders, maybe you ought to offer some information and support when people get down.

14. I have been trying to flush these people out for awhile and thank you |
|
all for you kind words. Kerry needs support and anything less makes me want to go talk in a room where everyone is able to talk so at least you know who is on your side because it's obvious. Don't mean to hurt feelings but some of us think negativity is a waste. Again thanks for all who get this.

18. We are all going to vote for Kerry, right? |
|
Edited on Fri Sep-03-04 08:15 PM by Marianne
Why do you need strength in numbers then?
Each person, most likely, who is posting is going to vote for Kerry.
But not all are marching to the same drummer, thank goodness. And not all need to march to the same drummer--meaning that they will express their doubts and fears, anxieties and critiques.
But we are all going to vote for Kerry--so what is the point in demanding people post a certain way and what is the point in the paranoia that will cause someone to accuse a long time poster of voting for Bush, when there is nothing behind accusations like that but the fact that they have exressed doubts about certain parts of teh Kerry campaign. It is getting absurd these accusations.
There have been numerous articles and essays written of late criticizing the Kerry campaign--from Progressive writers. It's out there. If there is a fault it needs to be brought to attention. There is no good to come of trying to hide those faults--certainly does the candidate no favor to blindly support anything, anyway and anyhow if he needs help in a certain area. Anyone worth their salt would want to hear what may be an honest critique. If the Kerry team wonders why in polls they have lost some seven or so points, I don't think they would ask the "yes" men who may blame the pollsters as being frauds--they would want some good critique to try to correct a problem.
