McCain will backstab Palin
in a Detroit microsecond. The fact is, his campaign has run aground and it's painfully clear, even to that senile old fool, that if he doesn't stop the bleeding, he'll be saying "Bye-bye" to the Senate in 2010. What could be his solution to lose with dignity and preserve his image as a "maverick" with "principles"? Use the ethics ruling thingie as an excuse to kick Caribou Barbie to the curb and run a kamikaze 3-week campaign with him and his pal Joe against everyone in the evil establishment. It'll be epic! Instead of going down as the guy who set back the GOP for 20 years, he'll be a modern Barry Goldwater! A guy who was mavericky like no maverick before him who kicked the party establishment in the guts just to shake things up and take a stand for his "values"! He can then start his own centrist-neocon party, Ron Paul and his crew can start their greedy notax party, and Palin and her flock can start the flat earth jesus party they so desperately want. McCain will go down as a giant figure in American history and will finally upstage his admiral daddy in the history books!

1. Your giving them too much credit
These people are losers. That is how they will go down in history, nothing more.

2. No way. In compensation for washing out of the Navy without ever earning a command at sea . . .
He's going down with the ship.

And all her crew.

Glub, glub, Johnnie Boy.

5. There are specific wasy she can be removed from the ticket
1) She can resign.
2) The RNC can meet and remove her (not bloody likely in 25 days)
3) She passes away (she seems pretty damned healthy to me, so this is even less likely than the RNC meeting and removing her).

McCain himself has absolutely no power to remove her.
