Impression of McCain defending Obama was Helplessness -- Mad Scientist destroyed by his own monster
Edited on Sat Oct-11-08 09:53 AM by Armstead
Watching John McCain trying to tamp down the nastiness and stupidity of his supporters, the overwhelming impression was of his helpnessness.

McCain unloosed forces that he can't control. And when the decent part of him tried to surface, it was clear that he was overpowered by the hatred and idiocy that he himself had whipped up and unleashed.

It was like a horror movie where the mad scientist is killed by a monster he created.

There are many subtexts and metaphors there. What happens if, as president, he follows a reckless and destructive course of action that spirals out of control? He may regret it, but by then it will be too late.

Actually, it is another parallel. the Bush administration unleashed a war that we are now mired in with no end in sight.

If McCain can't even control his own campaign and supporters, how the hell is he going to lead the country?

1. Unfortunately for the GOP Internet 2.0 including YouTube has exposed just how embarrassingly...
stupid the average white "Reagan Democrat" is.

HIs Town Hall format has become a gaffe fest every time a freeptard gets the mike, by showing his base to be idiots.

5. Not so fast!
He's still running the attack ads.

He only did it to dominate the news cycle where his running mate's ethics investigation released its report.

McCain knows full well that the MSM wants to be "fair and balanced", and all he has to do to distract from his latest gaffe/scandal is create just enough noisenews to equal the media's coverage of "Obama holds rally, thousands show up, people seem to really like this fellow!".

8. I hope it is many people's thoughts -- This was not "take charge" McCain
Edited on Sat Oct-11-08 10:27 AM by Armstead
This was not "take charge" McCain we saw. It was a man falling into an abyss of his own making.

6. McCain needs to have a press conference,
with a public apology, if it was Obama they will be demanding press conference they would
have demanded a public apology, why not the same for McCain.

As always, one rule for Whites, another for Blacks.
