In the primary I was saddened when I watched the debates, because I realized that he would make an excellent President but that he had zero chance of winning the primary. (I supported Obama, of course, but that didn't mean that I disliked the other candidates.)
Sooooo....I consider myself and our country VERY lucky that we might....we just MIGHT.....end up with Joe Biden in the White House, standing next to and counseling President Obama! How LUCKY can a gal get??????

1. I think Joe's been doing the VP candidate job well too. Keeping the Obama tradition |
|
of being respectful, while mixing in the Joe Biden "let's get real" stance, works really well.

2. I think Obama's choice of Joe for his VP is working out better than anyone ever |
|
expected. I can't imagine a more perfect, complementary ticket - truly a Dynamic Duo!
I was a Biden supporter from day one, and was flip flopping about him being VP. Although I felt he could help Obama with certain demographics, I thought the position wouldn't utilize Joe's talents to the greatest extent. I also didn't know how Joe would do being Number Two. I was holding out for Secretary of State. :7
But I was wrong - and Obama and Joe were right. They are SO good together, it's almost like it was predestined.
I look forward to an America with Obama and Biden at the helm. :patriot:

3. I thought he'd make an excellent SOS, too. I was surprised at the VP pick, but I agree... |
|
with you that it seems his role will be of an inside-the-oval-office confidante and advisor. He will have more direct power and influence than if he were traveling around the globe visiting with heads of other countries (although he'll probably do some of that, too).
I think Obama has the right stuff. But I feel even better that Joe, whom I respect and think is one of the most knowledgeable and wise politicians in the country, will be Obama's right hand man. And that Joe seems excited about that.

5. Although I was convinced that out of all the candidates Biden was by far our |
|
best choice, I've come to believe that this may be even better than a Biden/Obama ticket (which was my first choice). I don't think Joe could have galvanized the millions of young voters nor energized the rest of the world like Obama has done. I've become convinced that it turned out for the best in so many ways.

4. This is a good duo. One of the best I have seen. On par or better than Kennedy/Johnson. |
