***New Commodity: Selling Hope

My husband works with a bunch of right wing fundie freaks. We're in a rural area now and most of these people are lost. My husband had a meeting regarding the loss of sales and ways to get new business and he later received an email from one of the sales people. I don't have the entire thing in front of me but it basically stated that they had come up with this great idea that would cost the company nothing! It went on to talk about selling hope. It never mentions Obama but based on the wording you know exactly what he's getting at.

My husband didn't respond but last night while he was sleeping....I got his blackberry out and responded.

"Sounds like a wonderful idea! We've bought into the FEAR that was given for free the last 8 years and that has wrecked us financially and ruined our relationships with major businesses. The great thing about this new HOPE is that we actually have supporting FACTS and TRUTH to go along with it! It's a sure thing and morale and sales should go through the roof!"

I hate idiots!!
