To make it short, I was living in a Catholic dorm during my first year at college due to a lack of space elsewhere. It wasn't bad most of the time, but on Passover they really stepped in it. They were serving spaghetti, and I asked if they were egg or wheat noodles. They immediately figured I was asking for Passover reasons and told me "we have something for Passover!" I told them not to make any effort on my account as I shuffled toward the salad bar. But, they insisted. It was like they had been preparing for this all year. What did they make for Passover? Ham. Ham and pineapple. I sat down with my friends more or less stunned and without the heart to tell them they made a huge mistake. A friend of mine went back and pretended to be offended just to mess with them (he hated the cafeteria staff), and they ended up running out to the grocery store and making me a piece of fish.

All I wanted was a salad!
