Here comes the "America Loves an Underdog" strategy by McCain.
Edited on Mon Oct-13-08 08:48 AM by TheZug
You can't blame him--it's all he has left. And he'll probably get a few points out of it.

McLame: ""Let me give you the state of the race today. We have 22 days to go. We’re 6 points down. The national media has written us off. Senator Obama is measuring the drapes, and planning with Speaker Pelosi and Senator Reid to raise taxes, increase spending, take away your right to vote by secret ballot in labor elections, and concede defeat in Iraq. But they forgot to let you decide. My friends, we’ve got them just where we want them.

"What America needs in this hour is a fighter; someone who puts all his cards on the table and trusts the judgment of the American people. I come from a long line of McCains who believed that to love America is to fight for her. I have fought for you most of my life. There are other ways to love this country, but I’ve never been the kind to do it from the sidelines."

IMO, Obama should paint this as yet another erratic move by McCain--and point out, as he has again and again, that is isn't about him or Sen. McCain, but rather about American workers, who in these tough times are the REAL underdogs.

under dogs who are working for the people.

America does not love whiny, racists, violence inciting, barbie hiring, Fannie and Freddie backing and degregulating Losers like John McCain.

sorry, but you can't be an underdog when you are a loser for a reason.

It's the economy, John. It's your lack of honor, John. It's the lies of your running mate, John.

Edited to add:

You try to steal everything from Obama. Even this.

the black Democrat kind has underdog on you, John:-) and yes, the people LOVE him. They love his ideas and his passion and his honor.

9. "Measuring the drapes" LOL, they're recycling the old 2006 line!
And it worked so well for you then, didn't it, repukes? Got your asses handed to you in the 2006 midterms, but it's nothing compared to what's going to happen 3 weeks from tomorrow.

Epic Fail.
