"Isn't THIS a great vice president of the United States?..."

There ya go-McCain thinks of women as objects. He said that while pointing backwards to her then finally turning towards her. "This"? No, John, "that" ISN'T a great VP. And "it" won't get the CHANCE to be!

2. He obviously uses those terms when he doesn't respect someone. I doubt it's by accident. n/t

5. Not disagreeing... he just isn't doing himself any favors by making it so obvious.

9. I wish people would point it out in the media! Maybe one of Obama's surrogates, like Debbie
Wasserman-Schultz or Claire McCaskill.

12. If Obama referred to a woman that way, he would immediately be called sexist.
Edited on Mon Oct-13-08 11:16 AM by phleshdef
And the mainstream media would be all over it.

4. Good catch, very telling of his core attitudes toward others as objects or....
...as somehow less than human or as beneath him.

:patriot:

nor people who are kicking his butt like Obama.

21. How dare Obama kick his ass like that.
I must be killing him to have to get all dressed up and go to debates and things with "that" one.

Small wonder that he wanders around the stage...

mcsame went with his penis when he chose her and she rejected that penis almost immediately. she hasnt liked him from the start and he is starting to realize it and become bitter about it.

17. I am sure he does or did
you could see the revulsion on her face from it and in her body language from the get go. She never wanted to touch him.

19. I believe that. McCain probably hates her husband lurking in the background
all the time...not to mention his wife!

20. I honestly believe she flirted her way onto the ticket
then turned ice cold the second he gave her the spot. I think its a pattern in her life.

8. I think he's just an old fart who talks like my grandfather.
I don't think it shows anything in particular.

16. I don't know your grandfather, but I bet he never ran for president, trying to
bring people together.

22. Old people talk funny...
... it doesn't provide much of a window to their soul... at least with regards to racist or sexist beliefs.

There is also the matter of when people that age were socialized.

Basically I don't think McCain has a heart of coal. He's misguided at best.

I think his ambition for the presidency has caused him to turn a blind eye to the people running his campaign. He's obviously acquiesced on a number of issues... Palin being the most obvious. I doubt he has much to do with the advertising. Unfortunately for McCain, the Republican party has a serious cancer in the neocons and religious right.

That's obviously no ringing endorsement. McCain shouldn't be our next president... but I don't think he should be vilified the way Bush or Cheney ought to be.

That's my humble opinion at least.

15. He needs a lesson on pronouns.
I'll be happy to help him with that, but only if I get to kick it old school and use a wooden ruler to smack him when he is incorrect, as he inevitably will be.

he DID finish 5th from the bottom of his class.
