LOL - McCain Camp: Media won't cover "inflammatory comments are made at" Obama rallies

http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2008/10/13/senior-mccain-aide-says-they-need-fl-oh-wins/

<snip>

Despite an ugly couple of days last week, Schmidt asserted that the Republican nominee is running a “positive campaign.” He defended the recent negativity at GOP rallies with McCain and his running mate, Sarah Palin.

“Now, both campaigns have thousands of people in their crowds, and we had one person yell something inappropriate at ours, and of course we condemn it,” Schmidt said, adding that similarly inflammatory comments are made at Democratic contender Barack Obama’s rallies.

“You see that happen at Obama rallies, the only difference is that, it seems when it happens at a McCain rally it gets covered on television. When it happens at an Obama rally, it doesn’t get covered,” he said.

Thanks for lying again, O Republicans. You're so wonderfully consistent.

3. "Boooooo" is an inflammitory comment?
That's the worst I've heard from an Obama or Biden rally. Maybe they're talking about 'I love you, Obama!'?

7. At the Every Woman for Obama rally at UCLA yesterday,
there was very mild booing and hissing over McCain, LOUD boos over Palin, lol, and nothing else the least bit inflammatory. Certainly no calls for their murder.

McLoser is a whiny ass.

4. Coming soon......McCain plants at Obama rallys yelling McCain comments so the media can....
show Obama supporters as nasty and hatefilled.

We just have to make sure we can pin it back on McCain.

8. Isn't there some Republican operative who specializes at that?
He went to some Kerry rallies in '04 and made trouble there, and did the same to Gore in 2000?

Forgot his name, but he's been doing it for a while now.

9. Parlock. Specializes in getting his signs torn up.
Goes to Dem rallies with GOP candidate signs, claims he was attacked and his sign destroyed, cries to newspapers.

I think he's done this in at least 3 different Pres. Elections. Someone else can link the infamous photo of him with his little crying daughter sitting on his shoulders with the torn Bush/Cheney sign.

17. What is your honest opinion of such a thing?
Personally, if it is an inside venue...anyone wearing a shirt like that should not be allowed in, an outside venue is a little harder to control...sorry, but imo..that's not just negatory, that's sickening towards all women....I don't even like Palin, but no one needs to call her names like that, and if it's payback for what they called Obama...how would he feel about it..I cannot see Obama approving of such actions<<but then, who says they weren't plants, especially after the notoriety of the racism of the last week?>>I find it amazing that I have read about those shirts elsewhere on the web too, which makes me wonder...was it an isolated case? has it been happening a lot?? how does it happen that those shirts are being talked about on two sites I visit?..The people who wear such crap certainly don't do themselves any favors either, very low class, better yet...NO CLASS!!...wb

19. I didn't like it when people here used it against HRC,
and I don't like it now. I agree with you that it's a word that denigrates ALL women every time it's used.

It is possible that the people were plants, but I saw the word used around here often enough to believe that it's also possible the t-shirt thugs were Democrats who had gone over the top.

24. I guess
there's a few in any crowd..I would hate to think any of us would stoop that low, but, like you, I have seen some things being said here, that I wouldn't repeat...I don't have a problem with taking the gloves off in some arenas, and fighting fire with fire...but others should just be off limits...and that's one of them....thanx for your response...wb

14. If people at Obama rallies were calling McCain a "traitor," a "terrorist," and screaming "kill him!"
then he might be close to a point.
