Relative Problems
I came to a horrible conclusion this weekend while having dinner with my maiden aunt. She's a PUMA.

She was a die-hard Hillary supporter, who can't figure out what the problem is with Palin. She "kinda likes her".

Hubby and I almost choked on our salads when we heard that. I very calmly explained that I didn't think that Palin, who would be one 72-year-old heartbeat away from the Presidency, would not follow the First Amendment and would ignore the separation of Church and State.

I think that she got it. Then again, she can be pretty stubborn.

1. You're not the only one with relative problems. :^) I have some that would probably NEVER
vote Dem, even if the Devil hisself were running on the Repub. side. Oh wait, that's already happened, hasn't it?

2. This election seems to have created lots of relative problems. After my MIL sent me an anti-Christ
e-mail, things just haven't been the same. lol..and she wasn't the last.

3. My cousin sent me what was probably the same email
She's considerable older than me at 70, and fwd'd an email that went on and on about stereotyping terrorists and racial profiling. Then there was the bogus passage about the anti-Christ. It ended by pointing out how Obama is a 40-something Muslim male and questioned if "it's a coincidence".

I replied with facts and links, including the video of McCain himself debunking the rumor, and politely asked that she do a little research before she clicked send next time.

While it's true that democrats have mastered internet fundraising, the repubs have the art of email slime down to a fine science.
