Headline: "Independent Politic-Despising Retired USN Husband Endorses Obama!"
You read it here folks...I guess all the dinner table chitchat that I've been educating my husband with have paid off! Last night, I asked him...so, if the election were today, who would you vote for? He didn't look at me...but he said "I'm voting for Obama...there's no question"...

:applause:

Now...I'm off to empowering my Republican, Retired USN dad...who doesnt have the internet, so I have printed off the entire Obama policies from his website (I lost count at 180 pages)!

Then it will be onto two friends...one who "doesn't vote and hates politics" that I got into an "argument" with (via IM) the other day about whether being called "erratic" is equal to being called a "terrorist"...I lost that battle...

The other friend has voted independent the last 3 elections...but I saw a ray of hope earlier in the campaign where she actually ADMITTED to WATCHING the debates! Now, she feels that neither candidate has told her anything specifically b/c they are too caught up in the mud slinging and that the MSM is too busy reporting the slurs to report the issues. This is a very intelligent woman...who I am just SHOCKED is at an "undecided" position at this time... (HOW CAN YOU POSSIBLY BE UNDECIDED NOW?!?!?!) My best defense with her may just be...then dont vote for either...go back to being Independent...

Wish me luck! :hi:

1. Best of luck to you!
Encourage your dad to watch the debate Wednesday. My mom is supporting Obama on the strength of his debate performance. She doesn't have a computer and only gets her news from TV--but is smart enough NOT to listen to the pundits but only to the debates so she can make up her own mind!
