"Be the Change that you wish to see in the world around you" ( you weren't even sure if this was from Gandhi)

David Frum, do you even know the meaning of those hallowed words?

It is a call to attain new understand of the words one speaks through personal sacrifice. Words without action are just that - empty words. But when you make an effort to change - Struggle to remove hatred from your heart and view even your most virulent opponent with empathy and understanding that they are humans too, who are going through the same struggles that you yourself are, you realize the power of your own words.

I agree most of us Democrats don't practice it either. We hate Republicans and what they stand for ( at least I do - Fuck Republican Assholes) - But we dont go around quoting Gandhi; because we understand the meaning of those words and we realize we are not there yet.

"Improve the tone of political discourse" coming from a Republican is like a Serial killer preaching about tolerance and love.

Be careful where you tread - You Miserable , Low-life , Disgraceful, Mother-fucking Son-of-a-Howling Bitch.

2. Frum looked miserable
Scared and crushed by sorrow. Hah. His adolescent wet dream of a World Order based on the whacked out political philosophy of Strauss and the economic mysticism of Milton Friedman, enforced by the guns and blood of the American soldier has been crushed by events on the ground. I would pity the poor fucker, but am overwhelmed by contempt. Liberals presenting a liberal viewpoint with humor is bad, according to this little momma's boy. Conservatives reaching into a shit bag of slander and racism is OK.

You can learn a lot about people by the way they face defeat. The legitimate turn to their roots, their premises, to re-validate them and craft new formulations based on them, so as to better participate in the political discourse of a changing world. The illegitimate do what ... well ... what they are doing. And that is why we have to continue to pursue the truth and expose the conservative movement for the force of evil that it really has been.
