---Did anyone see Rachel on the Today show this morning??--
My friend called all upset, and said that Rachel said mccrap could still win this....so now she's worried. I didn't see it, so I'm wondering how, in what context Rachel said it...

1. I love Rachel but she also said that Hillary was going to fight all the way to the DNC
She has a decidedly negative view of things.

The truth is a snapshot in time.

Thank you to the people who talked her down.

27. Aaaaa, Hillary fought past the DNC.
Obama is still paying for Hill's tenacity. Rachel was right on the money with Hillary. I hope that she is wrong about McCain. If he wins it will be with the help of the Dems long primary slug fest.

43. Hillary did fight all the way through the convention. She played it
as far as she could and it didn't stop in my opinion until McCain named Palin as his VP pick thus forcing Hillary to cast her lot with Obama instead of hoping for a McCain win.

Polling data isn't votes. If she's concerned she should get to work to ensure that the unthinkable doesn't happen.

11. She's a single mother with 2 kids, and works fulltime...
and when she's not working, she's taking care of the kids. So there is not much time for her to "get to work to ensure that the unthinkable doesn't happen".

She talks to people about Obama, but she doesn't have time for much else. I really didn't appreciate the snark in your post.

She does what she can, but that doesn't mean she's not doing her part. You started this. You and your snarky shit about her. How dare you say she is on the outside.

You're the one yammering away on a fucking message board, she isn't. SHE'S OUT WORKING TO SUPPORT 2 SMALL KIDS.

And before, I didn't attack you. I said I didn't appreciate your snark. Now I have attacked your comments. You don't like it? Then stay the fuck out of my threads in the future.

10. Rachel is the first to admit that she's a glass half full. As someone else
mentioned, she was convinced that Hillary would go all the way through to the convention.

But she IS right in a way (even though I didn't see it). McCain still could win it if something were to happen that would swing the tide his way. I don't see it happening, but it's not over until all the votes are counted. So tell your friend to take heart, make sure she votes and drags everybody else she knows to the polls to vote for Obama.

20. So long as we all do what we can do - talk to friends, make calls, demand
that our Obama-voting friends and coworkers and family get to the polls - then we will be fine.

Don't worry - work - if even all you can do is just a little, do that and it will make a difference.

I saw Rachel, and she knows what she's talking about. A lot of hard work and not being complacent will not let that happen, barring the unexpected. Kerry was on track to win in 2004 but the OBL video days before the election boosted Chimpy a couple of points, and the margin was so close that Chimp could (and did) steal it.
