McCain forced to resort to PAID canvassers in Florida ... link
This is pretty close to checkmate, folks. In addition to the polls going his way, Obama has 150,000 VOLUNTEERS in Florida. They have been identifying and calling voters on the fence and giving them lots of personal love and attention. Meanwhile, McCain is forced to BUY a comparative handful of canvassers.

1. That, indeed, is very telling, imo
I laughed out loud reading this paragraph:

"But the campaign decided that it made more sense to pay canvassers for the task of making sure voters who want absentee ballots obtain them and send them in. That work entails four-hour shifts, instead of the two hour shifts that volunteers commit to, and closely following state rules on absentee ballots, he said. The party decided that was better entrusted to paid workers with that project."

Suuure they wanted to pay people instead of using volunteers, lol.

Thanks for the post, very interesting!

5. This Allows McCain To Use RNC Money, Rather Than His Money
The canvassers can just seek to register and get the vote out for Republicans. Of course, this drains money from the RNC to spend on congressional races.
