14. It's surprising at the very least.
I'm no political historian, and I'm sure there's about a 1000 Duers smarter than me and one will show up soon, but I can't remember the last time, if ever, Nebraska was blue.

12. i'm hoping the ron paul write-in vote tips it for Obama
paul is REALLY popular there - as he is in all the rural west. they don't think they need the federal government for anything. but, of course, they take in more federal dollars than they pay in taxes. just like alaska!

6. Ever play that game Civilization?
Even the original, some fifeteen years ago, had the little movie at the end which shows conquered lands from the beginning of time to the end. If you conquer the world you can slowly watch your civilization sweep across the globe. These maps remind me of it.
