2. I play Second Life and we have a strong campaign group in SL
I think it's smart to buy advertising within these games since many of the game players are old enough to vote.

21. Everything!
I walk around aimlessly, not a SL dollar to my name.

Actually, I tried one of those dancing jobs :P I left the machine going for a day and they didn't give me a dime! Bah!

You used the word "play". What the heck do you play on there?

It's just so... boring. I am totally missing the point.

7. It's like RL but it's SL - I think the main thing is to find a job that makes you money
which btw can be converted to RL money.

Unfortunately I can't photoshop or design worth a damn so I just have fun meeting people.

you really don't have to spend or earn any money

18. no you don't but if you have the talent why not make money that way
seriously. Some people are pulling in $100-$300 USD a month with their stores.

28. some people are pulling in a lot more
Edited on Tue Oct-14-08 01:57 PM by eShirl
I know a couple who make their livelihood and go on vacations several times a year

but they are *always* working and SL is more a chore for them now than an enjoyable activity

25. Most people enjoy the seedier side of SL it seems
Yes, I admit it, I toured around some of the "seedier" side and found it to be very entertaining. People really take "Second LIFE" to an extreme. Some parts were just downright scary.

I guess I have a short attention span and found myself bored rather quickly, so I left. But sometimes I hop back on that old character and just explore for a few laughs.

Whaddaya say you show me the SL ropes and we split those RL money profits. :toast:

I prefer not posting it here - there are repukes on the site too.

I actually do runway shows although at one point I did manage a club. There are all sorts of way to make money if you have design skills. But just designing stuff isn't enough - you have to know how to promote the stuff too.

Also, drop my stores "Yummi Pop" for my freebie poster (and tattoos lol) and, if you're a girl or know one, my shoe store Sole Sisters for my free "Hopemongerer" pumps. They're all the rage! lol

20. Bumblebee, actually.
That's the "new" movie version of Bumblebee.

Since VW wouldn't let them use a Beetle like the original Bumblebee was, they turned him into a Camero SS.

17. Just taking a cursory glance...
Looks like they're only in Electronic Arts (Skate, NHL, NBA, Madden, Burnout) and Activision (Guitar Hero 3, Transformers) games.

I think a couple might be 2K Sports, as well.

Overall, not surprising, as these are the publishers which are aggressively pushing ads in games and they usually have the market for them (sports games, open world sandbox games with billboards, etc.)

PS3, Wii, 360. Got to cover all your bases even in the cyberspace.

32. SL is a cool place I plan to visit... eventually.
McCain has to be really pissed off right now as he realizes that even online he is getting his ass kicked by Obama.

This is just so funny. Not even in cyberspace is he safe from Obama. I can't wait to see how the final presidential debate turns out. Anyone here want to place any bets on who will win. I say Obama but then again the winner is just so obvious.

Why doesn't McCain just quit now and save himself the ass kicking that is coming when the Obama-Biden campaign gets thru running over him. He only has a few more weeks left to go before the landslide becomes reality. We all can see it coming...

Why can't he... (Notices that he is near-sighted from age...) Uh... never mind.

34. David Shuster just mentioned this on MSNBC...
And he made a snide remark about how Obama is telling parents to turn off the TV, but then he does this... Does David really think these ads for early voting are targeted at children?!

35. There are those that still think the gaming world is made up of 10 years olds.
When in actuality the average gamer is what? In their 20s? 30s?
