I've taken both the 4th AND 5th off, with pay.
I will probably try to relax during the day, but after about 4pm Pacific time I will be ensconced in front of my computer, and I'll probably be up all night.
Maybe no apple martinis, but a good beer will be in order.

19. I always do the same! |

Luckily, living on the West Coast I don't have to wait so long at night to hear results. (2000 being the exception!:grr: ) But I figured out in '96 that I'm too drained to work the next day, regardless of the results.
Michael Moore once declared that Election Day should be a National Holiday here. I say it should always be the day after!

I will have a radio though, but the building is concrete so I get very few channels and I work until 10pm. It will be hellish having to find out about the election that way.

The worst will be fifteen minutes after we close when the Diebold machines print out the 'results' for the day. We will know then and there how the day went. Peace, Kim

15. If by "concentrate" you mean "concentrate on election results," then yes, I will concentrate. |
|
But concentrate on anything else? Um, no.

keep up with every detail? I might have to isolate myself from the entire situation on that day. Nerves will be fried. But I better wake up to good news dammitt!

So has hubby. We figure either way, we'll be up late the night before and/or a touch hung over.

18. I'll be at the polls handing out literature |
|
For most of the day. My other team leader for our precinct is a lawyer so he will probably be stationed inside. The campaign is bringing in lawyers to supervise the election procedure. The campaign is in need of lots of people for canvassing and driving people to the polls and phoning. We will be phoning on election day.
Then I will either go to the Democrat's victory party at the local sports bar or my Peace Group's party. Probably just stop by the Democrat's Party and go to the Peacemaker's party.

Once the voting starts on Nov 4 there will be continuous tv coverage to keep me occupied. But that day before the election... I think I'll spend the day housecleaning just to burn off the nervous energy.
