Why don't Democrats bring up Kosovo more to counter "weakness" charge? |
|
The GOP is getting away with repeating the charge that Democrats are weak on defense, won't act militarily and sit on the sidelines.
Why doesn't our side use one of the mostr obvious examples of why that is an out-and-out lie?
Regardless of what any of us might think about Clinton's war in Kosovo, it does point up one undeniable fact.
When pressed, Democrats are willing to be aggressive and intervene militarily. And it was an effective war, in the sense that it accomplished its mission. It was also ambitious but focused, using a minimal number of U.S. resources compared to Bush's Iraq fiasco.

with Wes Clark speaking. kerry and edwards usually bring it up when they are with clark, but it would be good for the entire party to talk about it and come up with a few lines they should always use in talking about military foreign policy national security type issues.
