Palin Supporter On Obama: "Kill Him"
Palin Supporter On Obama: "Kill Him"
By Greg Sargent - October 14, 2008, 2:23PM

Multiple TPM Readers are flagging this blood-curdling moment at a Sarah Palin rally in Pennsylvania today, courtesy of the Times-Tribune:
http://www.thetimes-tribune.com/articles/2008/10/14/news/doc48f4ba8994588930223377.txt

Chris Hackett addressed the increasingly feisty crowd as they await the arrival of Gov. Palin.

Each time the Republican candidate for the seat in the 10th Congressional District mentioned Barack Obama the crowd booed loudly.

One man screamed "kill him!"

2. I hope the Secret Service admits they heard it this time.
This crap has to be stopped. If Moosehead won't do it, the Justice Dept. should. They'd better investigate.

5. The SS is secretive in their investigations.
I have no doubt that they have tried to find the culprit, and if they have, they know more about him than you know about yourself. The SS has no sense of humor, and do not understand the word forgive.

4. I'd like to know where the Secret Service is when these things happen!
They must be there SOMEWHERE, after all Palin is the VP candidate.

I would think anyone threatening a U.S. Senator and Presidential candidate would be taken into custody immediately. I know the Secret Service does not take threats of any nature lightly...so...where the hell are they when Obama is being threatened???

6. Did Palin stop what she was saying and ask him to shut up or the Secret Service to remove him?
Edited on Tue Oct-14-08 01:45 PM by SurferBoy
No.

Compare that to what Obama did yesterday. When he mentioned John McCain at a rally, the crowd started to 'boo'. He said loudly "No, come on now, we don't need that..... what we need is for you to get out and vote!"

12. according to what it says above they were awaiting Palin's arrival when this person said this

8. I agree with the woman who appeared on Rachel's show last night
McCain doesn't get to act holier than thou, but appear on stage after the pastor in Iowa who called for a Holy War, and do nothing but issue a statement afterwards. If you hear it, tell them to shushhh, or have people who work for the campaign at least issue a warning for a level of decorum beforehand. They just scream "We can't control everyone, jeeze, it happens at Obama rallies too!" No, it doesn't happen at Obama rallies too. Obama told his supporters not to boo McCain yesterday, and that's a much lesser evil than what is happening at McCain rallies. If the McCain campaign is not willing to make ANY EFFORT at the campaign event before it starts to tell the supporters to chill the fuck out, they want it to happen.

13. Is this the place for Catholic students?
In the liked news account of today's hate-fest, is an account of a Catholic's boys school from the PA area - a St. Gregory's - that somehow figured bringing a bus load of their students to Palin's rally is in line with receiving a Catholic education.
Please join me in emailing, calling or writing to St. Gregory's through the link below with your suggestions in educating young men in the "Catholic intellectual and spiritual tradition".
It's been a long time since I was a Catholic, but I'm pretty certain in my day that they did not condone the behaviour of evil lying demagogues. But that's just me.

Also, the fact that gravity prevents us from floating to work? Obama's fault as well.
