You go, Rob MacKenna. He goes after a Bush buddy at the Tiger Bay club. Sequoia gets blame for slow Hillsborough elections returns.
We got rid of Teresa LePore, let's get rid of Buddy Johnson.

Slow count blamed on computer indexing
Machine vendor Sequoia Voting Systems diagnoses what delayed the ballot tabulation.

SNIP..."MacKenna, 33, is a computer programmer for the Eckerd Corp. and Florida organizer for failed presidential hopeful Howard Dean. He handily won the Democratic primary Tuesday and quickly seized on the tabulation problem as a key campaign issue.

At Tiger Bay, Johnson told his listeners it had been "a beautiful election," except for the vote counting. He offered a lengthy explanation of the indexing problem.

Well, exactly, preened MacKenna, when it was his turn. He reminded the audience he had told several attendees before the meeting that he suspected all along it was a computer indexing problem.

Johnson, sitting next to the lectern, smiled and tapped his hands together in mock applause. But his smile appeared strained when MacKenna said, "We are the laughingstock of the state and the nation because we can't count our votes."

We are very proud of Rob, and he will have his hands full beating a Bush-appointed candidates. He is intelligent, out-spoken, and very knowledgeable in the computer area.

Hmmmm.....wonder why a news article would use the word "preened"?

1. People need to be aware of this, and it dropped quickly.
Another fiasco here, with Sequoia machines. People need to get angry, as this guy who was appointed by Jeb does not appear to have the credentials for such a job, other than being the founder of the restaurant Buddy Freddy's and a stint in the legislature.

He sounds totally inept at his job. We in Florida are trying, LePore is gone, Buddy can go.

Next time folks tell us to get on the ball and say the hurricanes are payback for 2000....remember that Howard Dean is having an impact in two election supervisors campaigns.

Go Dean people!

Indeed democrats in every state should care what happens in florida. Jeb Bush was a scumbag business man in Dade county before he was a scumbag Governor. His branch of bush inc will do anything to exploit that state and have already ruined one national election.

5. Dean made a good choice in Rob MacKenna.
I think he has a good chance against the founder of Buddy Freddy's restaurant....if the voting machines work.
