What news people to trust? There's a really easy answer.... |

and it's not the one most of you were probably thinking of.
I will listen to any newsperson who is equally hated by both DU and Free Republic. Anybody who is loved by either may be entertaining and admirable (if they favor Dem's and I'm a DU sort of person) or they may be entertaining and despicable (if they favor R's and I'm a DU sort of person), or vice versa.
So, I'll listen to Rick Sanchez deliver the report about Palin and AIP without a problem, since he gets trashed over at FR and on similar boards all the time. OTOH - Rushbo and Malkin don't make the cut. Similarly for Tom Brokaw and a lot of other talking heads. As long as they're hated by both sides I figure they must be doing something right!

1. I like reading, but it's getting harder to find.. |

differing stories of the same event. AP dumps a story and all the newspapers pick it up, and you have to search long and hard for a different version. I like Third World Traveler, and the Global Policy Forum as well as a variety of blogs. I've gotten used to being wary of the 'sources close to the investigation', or 'some people say' kind of thing, but I still fall for it. It's definitely a mine field of propaganda out there.
