I don't think we're going to see McCain bring up Ayers tomorrow night at all
His negatives are simply too high, my guess is that we're going to see some polling numbers by the end of the day that will only solidify this. Last week it was said that McCain was going to bring it up and I do believe that was his plan, until he saw the polling that is. He may still do it but if he does it will effectively end any sort of remote chance he may still have. Just my .02

1. I personally think the moderator will bring up the tone of the election
and that will be the opening to address it. I do not think McCrypt will bring it up on his own. I think it will be out there and he'll have no choice but to take the bait. JMHO...

2. We won't see it if we don't watch. Kidding. He did promise though.
I won't watch. I'm for Obama and I don't care what McLiar says. I've seen McLiar's commercials. He lies. End of story.

12. From what Blitzer just reported on CNN...McCain spoke on the radio today...
that it wasn't "appropriate to do" in a town hall setting....but that he IS planning on bringing it up tomorrow night...and said he was SURPRISED at Obama's "say it to my face" rebuttal...

4. And they don't want the truth known. Too useful a smear, since the TV reporters let it stand
unchallenged most of the time.

13. McCain has way TOOO many skeletons
To toss grenades especially as innocuous as Hayes with McCain's Keating Five connections and more.

9. He'll hint at it and question his judgement based on...
his history of what he's voted for, and who he's associated with.

Or something like that.

15. If he gives Obama an opening like that he's an even bigger fool than I thought.
If McCain gives Obama an opening to refute Ayers McCain will regret it.

14. It would hurt McCain badly to bring it up because it's a lie and Obama will say so
and everybody will hear Obama say it's a lie and they'll hear McCain have absolutely nothing to offer. The Ayers thing is only effective as a whisper campaign. There's no there there and when McCain gives Obama a chance to refute it publicly it loses all power.

I hope that McCain brings it up but he probably won't.

16. I think he has no choice but to bring Ayres up.
If he doesn't, he will lose the Reich wing. Even Palin might not vote for him.

17. I think McCain's damned if he (or Schieffer) does and damned if he doesn't
If either McCain or Schieffer bring it up, Obama's been waiting for this since the Primaries. He KNOWS where they want to try to attack his character and patriotism.

If it isn't brought up, McCain further undercuts his claim that Obama is someone that voters need to question. If he's such a despicable "pal around with terrorist" type, as Keith Olbermann brought up yesterday, why isn't McCain hammering this in the debates already? Why isn't McCain basically making a citizen's arrest? So far, the fact that he hasn't implies that he doesn't really believe his own campaign spew.
